A Black and white Gothic inspired french lace wedding gown

Emma came to us with a fair idea of what she wanted…she wanted something striking and unusual, some black detailing, and with a corsetted fit and finish, So we got to work creating this Gothic beauty. The corsetted bodice is overlaid with a beautiful corded french lace, that tapers down into the white silk organza  skirt and train. the back is laced with ribbon to give a pretty  and romantic finish.

“When my new husband and I were first planning our big day I knew I was going to want something a bit different from the standard ivory wedding dress. I was worried that it wasn’t going to be something that I’d just find in a regular bridal shop. I did shop around in a few different standard wedding dress shops and the dresses were very nice but not really me. I had an idea in my head of what look I wanted my dress to have and after doing a bit of research I came across Jo and the Couture Company, I thought well what harm could it do to go and speak to her? And I’m so glad I did!
I wasn’t sure how to get my idea across to Jo but she seemed to understand instantly the look and style I was going for and she made me feel so relaxed about the whole process. So I left my ideas in Jo’s capable hands and after a couple of measurement takings and rough fittings I could see my dress, the only thing I could think when I finally put it on was just ‘wow!’. Jo managed to take my ideas and create my dream wedding dress and then she even managed to make a headpiece to match! Everybody loved my dress and said it was just perfect for me, on the day I even had strangers coming up asking me where I got my dress from!
I cannot recommend The Couture Company high enough, Jo just has the knack to understanding what brides want and she’s got the ability to bring those dreams to life. Thank you to Jo and the whole team, you helped to make our day absolutely amazing!”
